Lost follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, United States crashes somewhere in the South Pacific.

Season 1 is about bringing the current characters of the show to life. It shows current events happing on the island aswell as events that happened of the island. Jack Shepard takes over as leader of the surviors as the try to start finding ways to get off the island. Jack bumps heads alott with fellow survivor Sawyer and John Locke. In the end the suvivors find out that there are other people currently living on the island forcing them to flee and they become hostile.

Season 2 finds the survivors living inside a hatch that makes them push a button every 108 mins to "save the world". The find others surivors from the plane crash aswell as Desmond who has been living in the hatch for 3 years. Jack gets upset that the "others" living on the island keep attacking them so they strike up a plan of their own. It back fires and Jack, Kate and Sawyer are taking prisinor by the Others.

Season 3 starts with Jack, Kate and Sawyer learning more about the Others. They find out that their leader is Ben Linus and that he has lived on the island his whole life. Meanwhile for the fellow surviors back at camp they make and effort to rescue their friends aswell as make another attempt at rescue.

Season 4 has the surivors get rescue from a mysterious ship that has all along been looking for the island and not the people on it. The ship is run by a man named Charles Widmore who before being exilled by Ben lived on the island. The team becomes hostile and the surivors have to fight back. Meanwhile Jack finds away of the island but is told by John that living the island will cause problems. Jack ignores the advice and leaves on a helicopter taken over by Sawyer and Kate. John is told by the real leader of the others Jacob that to protect the island he needs to move it.

Season 5 begins with the surivors that left for 3 years trying to make it back to the island to protect the people that they left behing. Moving the island has caused it to go back in time without warning. The survivors do make it back to the island but our told by Sawyer that it's 1977 and they are part of a group called the Dharma Initiative
